Getting to Bol on Brac Island from Split

It is approximately 30 minutes drive from the airport to the ferry terminal in Split. A bus or taxi service runs from the airport or you may wish to hire a car for the duration of your holiday – Economy Car Rentals and Holiday Autos both offer reasonably priced rentals.

If you have arranged your flight with a tour operator, such as Holiday Options, it may be possible to arrange a direct transfer to Bol from the airport by contacting the tour operator and quoting your booking reference.

The car ferry (which also takes foot passengers) from Split takes approximately 50 minutes and arrives at Supetar on the north coast of Brac. Timetables can be viewed at Jadrolinija which also operates a catamaran service direct into Bol for foot passengers only, but this is less frequent.

Once on Brac Island it is a very picturesque 45 minute drive to Bol from Supetar. A taxi can be arranged via our agents in advance if you do not intend to hire a car.

Hiring Transport

Car, scooter and bike hire is available locally, although if you require a car for the duration of your stay you may choose to book your car when you arrange your flight as this can work out cheaper for longer hire periods and will enable you to pick up a hire car from the airport and return it there prior to departure.

Map of Bol Town

Hiring scooters locally is a fun way to explore the island. Bicycle hire is available locally and is reasonably priced and very popular.

If you are looking to hire a vehicle you will be required to produce your driving licence.

There are several places along the sea front where it is possible to hire a boat. This is an excellent way to explore the coast and maybe one of the secluded bays not accessible by land.
